Ben reminded us how important life is but before 2011 is over I’d like to take some time to reminisce on this past year…the catch is I can only do it in three words. So here I go:

Before we get into any talk about music I wanted to share a video with you guys. I was on the blog of a favorite blogger of mine, Ana Edouard (Fuzzyneonllama.com) this morning and she had a post about this teenager named Ben Breedlove — Ben died on Christmas day, after suffering all his life with a heart condition. Ben cheated death several times and I for one think that his story is incredibly eye opening. After watching his videos, I was reminded of how powerful God is and how important it is to not take a second of your life for granted, you never know when it will be your last. I won’t give Ben’s message entirely away, I’ll let you guys see for yourself. RIP Ben, thank you for inspiring us all and reminding us how important life is.

Whew, I was so scared that after all this time away from you guys I would have forgotten how good it feels to blog. To just let myself write with no worries! It feels just like I remember it! (: I am sorry for being away from you guys for so long. If you had told me when I was 5 that senior year would be this stressful, I would have stuck my tongue out and started singing “liar, liar pants on fire” haha – I’ve had little time for a lot of the things I enjoy but I am trying to change that (did I ever mention I have really bad time management skills?) My goal as of today is to blog every other weekend and if I can handle that I’ll change it to every weekend but I know you guys have had enough of my promises. I miss you guys terribly every day! I hope everything is well and that you guys have continued to rock out without me! I’ve been having sort of a dry spell, I haven’t come across any new artists that I enjoy listening to but lately I find myself really into Jamie Cullum!! <3 Any man that can play the piano or guitar automatically has my heart, but I'll save my gushy love post about Jamie for later, haha I'll write to you guys soon…xoxo Lisa Lisa
Hey guys! I feel like all I ever do when I post now is updates but hopefully that will change soon! I got done with all my homework and stuff early tonight and I figured with all this extra time why not do some blogging? I miss it so much and I feel horrible that I can’t blog as much as I would like to. With school, work, volleyball, and other things having a life is almost impossible! I hope you all have been bopping your heads to some worthwhile music & I actually have a few songs I would like to share with you guys tonight. Before I forget someone posted a comment last week about music forums? Just to answer your question I don’t really follow any as of yet but I’d be more then happy to do some research and get back to you :] but I’m going to end this short and sweet and get on to the fun stuff I have planned for tonight soooo stay tuned my “midnight lovers” ;]
Hey guys! I thought I’d do a quick little blog post before my day picks up and I get really busy. By the way, Happy Labor Day!! (: I’m sorry you guys haven’t heard from me in a while but I’ve started school and with my 2 AP’s and my 3 other classes + volleyball and my job I haven’t had time for anything else. I miss you guys and the blog terribly and sometimes I wish I could do multiple things as once so I would never have to be away from you guys. Like I said before I started school and I’m already a little bit stressed. Senior year is SERIOUS and the workload is already mystifying o.o Volleyball has been fun (#16) and I’m really excited for the varsity game this weekend. Oh and I’m also a score keeper now for junior varsity sooo I’m really hoping that goes well!! What else have I been up to? Hmm I saw “Crazy, Stupid, Love” with my boyfriend this past weekend and it is a must see! It’s a really funny, witty, romantic comedy that I think you guys might love. I also saw “Something Borrowed” yesterday and came across this singer named Tyrone Wells, which I will tell you guys more about when I do some more listening to him (: After that I don’t think there is anything else that is new with me, I was thinking of doing my Artist of the month video on youtube today but that’s only if I finish my gov homework and my school shopping….either way stay tuned for something. Lately I’ve had this weird craving for country music (I say it like its some sort of food, lol) I came across Lady Antebellum a few weeks ago and ever since I have been hooked! Have you ever listened to a song and just envisioned what the video would look like? I do it all the time but even with the best of my imagination I could never envision something as creative as the genius that directs Lady Antebellum’s videos! I swear not only are their songs powerful but each and every one of their videos have left a profound impact on me. I was listening to Hello World yesterday and I got chills! It’s one thing to capture an audience by beautiful sound but to capture an audience by vision is to truly reach into their souls and touch their hearts I included two of my favorite songs by them below:

Tonight just feels like one of those nights were I just want to write and never stop. I’m not sure what I’ll write about exactly but I think I’ll just let the words in my noggin be my guide. Now that I have a laptop I can’t help but feel a little like “Carrie Bradshaw” haha (Did I mention I’m obsessed with Sex in the City?) I know she isn’t a real person and I’m way to young to even say I can relate to her but I sometimes like to think that I can relate to the writer side of her…if that makes any sense? I guess what I’m trying to say is that I admire the way the director or producer(s) portray the life of a middle age woman who is in love with what she does and so happens to be a writer Yes, I know I’m only a senior in high school but with my old soul I tend to find beauty in almost everything (: I’m a simple kind of girl and I like that about myself…I might not like some other things but being simple yeah that’s quite alright with me :] But of course my friends would probably disagree but I’d like to think that I’m not that complicated haha I guess I should really stop my rambling..there’s really no point to this story but I just felt like doing a little writing. I’m quite sad on this sunday night..I have one more week left until I have to face that lovely building that we all like to call school..which probably means I should try to finish up those last couple of chapters of Me Talk Pretty One Day…by the way if you ever get a chance to read this book by David Sedaris….DO IT! Besides I Know why the Caged Bird Sings and The Color Purple I have never fell in love with a summer reading book so instantly! I was halfway through it and then decided to start it all over again! Same may call me crazy but I honestly just think that David Sedaris is a GENIUS! Oh and quite the comedian ;] No one is paying me to say this by the way but go out and buy or borrow the book you will absolutely LOVE it! But besides my summer reading I start volleyball this upcoming Thursday!!! I’m pretty excited & I might even be ready to kick some butt this year! Afterall we are the KNIGHTS and last I heard knights always come up on top! hehe I wouldn’t want to bore you guys any longer but I promise to blog again really soon! YES! It’s true I finally did it (for good this time) haha I started a youtube channel a couple of weeks ago and after getting my first laptop yesterday I recorded my first video! The channel will pretty much be a continuation of the blog but you guys will actually get to see me now and listen to music along with me :] I am excited !!
